Maintenance received a FSEU message indicating "RIGHT FLAP POSITION DISAGREE". In accordance with the checklist the crew performed an alternate flap extension to 15 degrees and landed without further incident. The Canadian TSB reported the flaps failed to extend when the crew selected the flaps to 5 degrees, entered a hold and worked the "Trailing Edge Flap Disagree" Checklist. Emergency services checked the aircraft before the aircraft taxied to the apron. The crew worked the related checklists, performed an alternate flaps extension to 15 degrees and landed safely at a higher than normal speed. A Sunwing Boeing 737-800, registration C-GNCH performing flight WG-488 from Cancun (Mexico) to Calgary,AB (Canada) with 195 people on board, was on approach to Calgary when the crew stopped the descent at 7000 feet and entered a hold reporting a flaps problem.
